US journalist Raphael Satter has been banned from territory in India for a year and a half. This employee of the Reuters news agency, stationed in Washington, is the author of a sensitive investigation published on November 16, 2023 on Appin, an Indian Cyberespionage company, led by two important businessmen, the Rajat and Anuj Khare brothers. After having observed silence on this story for long months, Raphael Satter decided to make it public by entering justice. The first audience was held on Wednesday March 12, in New Delhi.

The investigation which led to the banishment of the journalist, entitled “How an Indian start-up hacked the world”, details the origins and activities of this cybersecurity company based in New Delhi, passed from educational start-up forming to a powerful company of computer hacking on demand, which stole secrets to managers, politicians and wealthy elites around the world. “Indian society has hacked on an industrial scale, stealing data from political leaders, international executives, eminent lawyers and many others”, writes the journalist in his article.
