Derk Wekema a une moto sp\u00e9ciale dans sa collection : une Norton Manx 30M de 1954. Un vrai moteur 500cc, pas une r\u00e9plique.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Ce n’est tout simplement pas un pilote d’usine, mais un soi-disant pilote de production”, explique Wekema. “Cela signifie que vous pouvez simplement le commander depuis l’Angleterre.” Il y a aussi une histoire derri\u00e8re Norton de Wekema. “L’ancien pilote Piet Bakker l’a conduit.” Bakker est devenu plusieurs fois champion des Pays-Bas dans les ann\u00e9es 1950.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Selon Wekema, Bakker \u00e9tait “un homme sp\u00e9cial”. “Il aimait boire un verre”, dit-il. “Il a dit:” Un verre pour Piet et un verre pour le Norton “. Et puis il est all\u00e9 courir.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Le Norton est maintenant gar\u00e9 chez Wekema dans le hall, chez lui \u00e0 Grolloo. non affect\u00e9. “Oui, c’est comme \u00e7a que je l’ai achet\u00e9. Je n’y ai rien fait et je ne l’ai pas conduit.” La raison : Wekema pense que le moteur est trop cher. “Le Norton est \u00e0 la retraite, il n’a plus besoin de performer. Il doit juste \u00eatre beau. Et c’est tout.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Wekema est toujours fou de motos. “Nous organisons des d\u00e9monstrations avec l’Historic Motorcycle Association”, dit-il. “C’est un passe-temps sympa. Je roule sur une BSA Gold Star.” D’o\u00f9 vient ce virus moteur ? Hooghalen. “Je suis n\u00e9 sur la piste du TT, donc \u00e7a vous a \u00e9t\u00e9 inculqu\u00e9 \u00e0 un \u00e2ge pr\u00e9coce. C’est dans votre sang. Soit vous l’avez, soit vous ne l’avez pas.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
