Il laisse derri\u00e8re lui sa femme Shelly.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Lanegan a anticip\u00e9 le grunge dans les ann\u00e9es 1980 avec les Screaming Trees, un groupe de rock psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique d&#8217;Ellensburg, Washington. Plus r\u00e9cemment, Lanegan est apparu sur le dernier album des Manic Street Preachers, The Ultra Vivid Lament, en duo avec James Dean Bradfield, Blank Diary Entry.<\/p>\n<p>Lanegan a racont\u00e9 ses ann\u00e9es de formation en tant que musicien dans son autobiographie Sing Backwards and Weep: A Memoir de 2020. Il y raconte ses d\u00e9pendances \u00e0 l&#8217;h\u00e9ro\u00efne et \u00e0 l&#8217;alcool &#8211; sa premi\u00e8re cure de d\u00e9sintoxication pay\u00e9e par Courtney Love.  &#8220;Courtney m&#8217;a \u00e9crit une lettre : &#8216;Kurt t&#8217;aimait comme un grand fr\u00e8re, il aurait voulu que tu vives.  Le monde veut que vous restiez en vie.<\/p>\n<p>Lanegan a ensuite travaill\u00e9 en \u00e9troite collaboration avec Josh Homme de Queen of the Stone Age, qui avait auparavant \u00e9t\u00e9 le deuxi\u00e8me guitariste des Screaming Trees.  Lanegan a rejoint le Queens pendant une courte p\u00e9riode par la suite.
