Trois parias, un professeur grossier<\/strong> qui a v\u00e9cu une mauvaise p\u00e9riode dans la vie et qui est \u00e0 juste titre d\u00e9test\u00e9 par les \u00e9tudiants, une cuisini\u00e8re pleurant la mort de son fils<\/strong> et un \u00e9tudiant dont la famille ne se soucie pas<\/strong> ils sont condamn\u00e9s \u00e0 passer les vacances de No\u00ebl 1970 ensemble, trois solitudes dans un gigantesque coll\u00e8ge du d\u00e9sert<\/strong> dans la Nouvelle-Angleterre enneig\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

A partir d’un principe tr\u00e8s classique, Payne, cin\u00e9aste sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans le sentimentalisme, r\u00e9alise un film plus sinc\u00e8re que sa moyenne, avec des dialogues brillants, des interpr\u00e8tes impeccables (le longiligne Sessa est dans son premier film) et un m\u00e9lange de tons qui ne pourrait \u00eatre pris pour acquis. Les fleurs naissent de la cohabitation forc\u00e9e de trois marginaux.<\/p>\n
