Elizabeth Olsen a démystifié une théorie farfelue selon laquelle ses sœurs aînées, les jumelles Mary-Kate et Ashley, sont la même personne.
La star hollywoodienne de 33 ans est la sœur cadette des jumelles emblématiques de 35 ans dont la propre carrière d’actrice a commencé lorsqu’elles étaient bébés.
Cependant, certaines personnes soupçonnent que les sœurs jumelles sont en fait une seule personne jouant deux rôles – mais Elizabeth s’est prononcée pour dissiper la rumeur ridicule.
La star de WandaVision était interviewé par Vanity Fair et accrochée à un test de détecteur de mensonges lorsqu’elle a été grillée sur toutes sortes de sujets liés à sa vie personnelle et professionnelle.

Les enquêteurs ont demandé : «[British comedian} John Oliver claims your sister, Mary-Kate and Ashley, are just one person moving incredibly fast. Is he correct?”
Elizabeth then answered: “No.”
The interviewer then pushed the star to prove her siblings were real, and she said: “They’re twins. My mom gave birth to both of them, C-section style. And there are lots of photos since forever that proves there’s two of them in these photographs.

“And I think the photos would prove that. You know, when you capture a photo with babies in different places and stuff.”
The interviewer noted that, as Elizabeth is younger, she hadn’t physically been there when photos of Mary-Kate and Ashley were taken, but she argued: “I was there sometimes. Later. When I was born.”
The interviewer also asked: “What about Photoshop?”

But Elizabeth replied: “There’s yeah, not then, really. Not in the 80s.”
Throughout the line of questioning about her sisters, the lie-detector test did not go off – confirming her side of the story was accurate.
Earlier, while being questioned, Elizabeth inadvertently revealed she doesn’t rate Danielle Haim’s acting ability, having watched the singer perform in the Oscar nominated film Licorice Pizza.
While discussing the film and her thoughts on Danielle’s acting, Elizabeth said: “I loved the film. And I thought she was great in it” – but the lie detector test went off, with the operator of the device declaring: “She’s lying about the film. Or about her acting.”
Elizabeth was then forced to offer a grovelling apology, saying: “Sorry, Danielle. You did great. I don’t know what’s happening.”
And elsewhere in the interview, Elizabeth gave her thoughts on smoking marijuana – explaining that she is experimenting with the drug now that it is legal in California where she lives.
She said: “I wanna be a stoner. I’m an aspiring stoner. I’m trying. I just started trying, actually.
“It’s something that I’m not very good at. I just started trying it again for the first time in a decade. So, I’m a beginner. It’s legal in California.”

Asked what a ‘beginner weed smoker would do’, Elizabeth said: “They take a hit, really small one. Try not to cough. They wait about 45 minutes. They take another hit, and then it’s bedtime.
“That’s what I’ve done now, three times in the last, like, 10 years.”
