C’est encore cette période de l’année, pour la remise des prix connue comme la cérémonie la plus imprévisible qui soit. Les MTV Video Music Awards de cette année auront lieu le dimanche 28 août à 20 h HE / PT en direct du Prudential Center du New Jersey, réunissant sous un même toit certains des plus grands noms de la musique et de la culture pop.
Les nominations pour les VMA 2022 sont également là, annoncées mardi matin. Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar et Lil Nas X sont en tête du peloton avec sept nominations chacun, suivis de près par Doja Cat et Harry Styles avec six, et Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift et The Weeknd avec cinq chacun. . Harlow et Lil Nas X ont tous deux remporté plusieurs nominations pour leur collaboration à succès, “Industry Baby”, qui a été créée en direct lors de la cérémonie de l’année dernière. Lamar a également reçu le plus de noms, et son premier depuis 2018.
Cette année voit également 26 nominés pour la première fois, dont Baby Keem, GAYLE, Kacey Musgraves, Maneskin, Anitta, Dove Cameron, Muni Long, Tems et Wet Leg.
