Ella es una de los familiares presentes hoy en la inauguraci\u00f3n de sesenta nuevos obst\u00e1culos en Hoogeveen. Las piedras de sus abuelos ocupan un lugar en el centro. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, doscientos jud\u00edos fueron deportados y asesinados en Hoogeveen. Se conmemoran con las piedras de tropiezo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Decenas de personas visitaron hoy las nuevas piedras de tropiezo bajo la direcci\u00f3n de la Fundaci\u00f3n Hoogeveense Memorial Stones. El grupo cree que se trata de un hito importante. “Lo que ocurri\u00f3 durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial no debe volver a ocurrir. Por eso es tan importante la conmemoraci\u00f3n”, explica el presidente Eddie Seinen. “Pero a pesar de ello, todav\u00eda aprendemos muy poco de ello en todo el mundo”, se refiere al conflicto entre Israel y Palestina.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Es un d\u00eda especial para Akker. “En realidad, no s\u00e9 mucho sobre mis abuelos”. Su padre no pod\u00eda contar mucho al respecto, dice. “S\u00f3lo hay una foto del abuelo y la abuela, pero con los obst\u00e1culos ahora hay algo tangible. Creo que es muy bonito.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
