Amazon, el mayor minorista de pedidos por correo en l\u00ednea del mundo, cierra su centro de carga a\u00e9rea en el aeropuerto de Leipzig\/Halle. Tras el correspondiente ajuste de la red log\u00edstica, est\u00e1 previsto el cierre de la sede de Amazon Air, seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 el martes un portavoz de la compa\u00f1\u00eda estadounidense. Seg\u00fan la empresa, 400 empleados se ven afectados por el cierre. Seg\u00fan se informa, a\u00fan no se ha fijado el momento del cierre previsto.<\/p>\n

A los empleados afectados se les ofrecer\u00e1 la oportunidad de mudarse a otras ubicaciones de Amazon. Amazon tambi\u00e9n opera un centro de distribuci\u00f3n en el aeropuerto. El grupo destac\u00f3 que seguir\u00e1 operando en el aeropuerto de Leipzig\/Halle y lo utilizar\u00e1 en su red log\u00edstica europea.<\/p>\n

El centro de carga a\u00e9rea de Amazon Air abri\u00f3 sus puertas en 2020 para permitir entregas m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas. Durante la pandemia del coronavirus, Amazon ampli\u00f3 significativamente su red log\u00edstica y aument\u00f3 significativamente la densidad de ubicaciones en el sur de Europa, afirm\u00f3.
