A 80 kil\u00f3metros de la meta, un tr\u00edo despegaba con Mathieu van der Poel, Gianni Vermeersch y Ramon Sinkeldam.  Van der Poel tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 en la segunda fuga, junto a Jasper Stuyven y Casper Pedersen, entre otros, parec\u00edan encaminados a la victoria.<\/p>\n<p>Pero a tres kil\u00f3metros de la meta, los cuatro restantes de Van der Poel, Debuyst, Pedersen y Tiller estaban agarrados por el pescuezo.  Gianni Vermeersch lo intent\u00f3 solo, pero a\u00fan as\u00ed result\u00f3 ser un sprint masivo.
