En los 800 m libres, el magdeburgu\u00e9s derrot\u00f3 a su compa\u00f1ero de club Florian Wellbrock y mejor\u00f3 el mejor tiempo mundial del a\u00f1o con 7:42,14 minutos.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tengo mucho respeto por Flo y todos los otros grandes nombres de nuestro deporte, pero definitivamente ya no tengo miedo&#8221;, dijo M\u00e4rtens, quien el a\u00f1o pasado se convirti\u00f3 en campe\u00f3n de Europa y subcampe\u00f3n de la Copa del Mundo en los 400 m libres para el primera vez.<\/p>\n<p>La novia de M\u00e4rtens, Isabel Gose, marc\u00f3 su mejor marca personal en los 800 m estilo libre en 8:19,65.
