La direcci\u00f3n del artista lo confirma este lunes <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/allhiphop.com\/exclusives\/de-la-souls-trugoy-the-dove-has-died\/?utm_content=cmp-true\" target=\"_blank\">medios estadounidenses<\/a>.  Se desconoce la causa de la muerte, pero el m\u00fasico sufr\u00eda de insuficiencia card\u00edaca desde hace alg\u00fan tiempo. <\/p>\n<p>Trugoy, cuyo verdadero nombre era David Jude Jolicoeur, form\u00f3 el tr\u00edo de rap De La Soul en 1988 con Vincent Mason (Maseo) y Kelvin Mercer (Posdnuos).  El grupo tuvo \u00e9xitos como &#8216;Yo, yo mismo y yo&#8217; y &#8216;Ring ring ring&#8217;.  Su \u00e1lbum debut <em>3 pies de alto y subiendo<\/em>lanzado en 1989, fue un \u00e9xito mundial y en 1998 fue nombrado uno de los libros de The Source. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/rateyourmusic.com\/list\/Tempetz\/the_sources_top_100_rap_albums_of_all_time\/\" target=\"_blank\">100 mejores \u00e1lbumes de rap<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>En 2010, la Biblioteca del Congreso agreg\u00f3 su \u00e1lbum debut al Registro Nacional de Grabaciones, una lista donde cada a\u00f1o se agregan grabaciones de importancia cultural o hist\u00f3rica.  El grupo gan\u00f3 un Grammy en 2006 por su colaboraci\u00f3n con la banda brit\u00e1nica Gorillaz en el sencillo &#8216;Feel Good Inc&#8217;.
