Su mejor tiempo de 9,77 segundos en 2005 fue el \u00faltimo r\u00e9cord mundial en la disciplina suprema antes de que comenzara la era del compatriota de Powell, Usain Bolt.<\/p>\n<p>Powell nunca gan\u00f3 un t\u00edtulo individual importante, pero gan\u00f3 el oro ol\u00edmpico en 2016 y dos t\u00edtulos mundiales con el relevo de velocidad de Jamaica.
