A principios del verano luch\u00f3 con problemas de salud.  Le diagnosticaron un tumor maligno y fue operado de inmediato.  Seg\u00fan la di\u00f3cesis de Breda, el tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer es posible, pero requerir\u00e1 un tiempo prolongado e intensivo.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Liesen fue nombrado obispo de la di\u00f3cesis de Breda en noviembre de 2011, sucediendo a Hans van den Hende.  Naci\u00f3 en Oosterhout hace casi 62 a\u00f1os. <\/p>\n<p>Liesen ya ha recibido muchas reacciones conmovedoras de personas que simpatizan con \u00e9l y est\u00e1 muy contento con esto, informa la di\u00f3cesis. <\/p>\n<p>En los pr\u00f3ximos meses, la actualidad ser\u00e1 asumida por los vicarios, entre otros.  Se mantendr\u00e1n en contacto con el obispo sobre esto.
