As\u00ed lo informa el Departamento de Salud del Estado de Nueva York.  El servicio de salud federal CDC ha confirmado el caso.  La \u00faltima infecci\u00f3n de poliomielitis registrada en los EE. UU. fue en 2013. Para entonces, el virus se hab\u00eda propagado fuera de los EE. UU.
