Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 debes llevar contigo, un mapa en papel o digital?  La respuesta correcta es ambos.  La aplicaci\u00f3n de navegaci\u00f3n complementa adecuadamente el mapa en papel y viceversa.  Las aplicaciones de navegaci\u00f3n que funcionan en un tel\u00e9fono o tableta se pueden usar incluso cuando el barco tiene un plotter fijo.  El tel\u00e9fono tiene su propio posicionamiento y funciona con una bater\u00eda, por lo que puede permanecer en el mapa incluso cuando falla el sistema el\u00e9ctrico o la bater\u00eda del barco, por ejemplo.  Otra buena raz\u00f3n para una aplicaci\u00f3n de navegaci\u00f3n separada es que diferentes aplicaciones y plotters usan diferentes materiales de mapas.
