Contrariamente a lo esperado, el candidato independiente prorruso Calin Georgescu lidera con m\u00e1s del 98 por ciento de los votos escrutados, por delante del Primer Ministro proeuropeo Marcel Ciolacu. Georgescu obtuvo el 22,59 por ciento, frente al 19,55 por ciento de Ciolacu.
