El conductor conduc\u00eda desde Ruinerwold en direcci\u00f3n a Meppel y por motivos desconocidos se sali\u00f3 de la carretera, tras lo cual atraves\u00f3 la zanja y finalmente se estrell\u00f3 contra un \u00e1rbol. Esto hizo que se volcara y luego chocara con el obst\u00e1culo de madera. Se desconoce qu\u00e9 provoc\u00f3 que el hombre perdiera el control del veh\u00edculo.
