Hace veinte a\u00f1os, en estos tiempos, el 16 de julio, Ivan Basso logr\u00f3 el \u00fanico \u00e9xito de etapa del Tour de Francia de su carrera en La Mongie, por delante de Lance Armstrong, y se lo dedic\u00f3 a su madre Nives, que luchaba contra el c\u00e1ncer.  La Mongie significa Tourmalet, que la <i>boucl\u00e9 <\/i> escala hoy aunque sea desde el otro lado, el de Bar\u00e8ges.
