Su familia vive en Ypres.  Llegaron aqu\u00ed justo despu\u00e9s de la Primera Guerra Mundial.<\/p>\n<p>Silvio Bottecchia: &#8220;Su padre era hermano de mi abuelo. A mi padre le pidieron aqu\u00ed la reconstrucci\u00f3n. M\u00e1rmol, granito, mosaico. Mi madre sigui\u00f3 detr\u00e1s. Mi hermana naci\u00f3 en Venecia. Yo nac\u00ed aqu\u00ed&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>Ottavio tambi\u00e9n gan\u00f3 el Tour por segunda vez en 1925. Su talento ya era evidente durante la guerra.<\/p>\n<p>Silvio Bottecchia: &#8220;Cuando era soldado, andaba en bicicleta y llevaba municiones en la espalda. Y su oficial vio que pod\u00eda subir las monta\u00f1as muy f\u00e1cilmente.
