El jueves temprano, el gobierno brit\u00e1nico anunci\u00f3 que apoyar\u00eda una posible nominaci\u00f3n de nuestro Primer Ministro saliente.<\/p>\n<article class=\"embed-block\">\n<section class=\"web-embed body-style body-style--s1 embed-block__content\"\/><\/article>\n<aside aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"banner banner--wsc-r1 banner--hide-double-column\"\/>\n<div class=\"textblock paragraph\">\n<p>Cada vez parece m\u00e1s que Rutte tiene apoyo para suceder a Jens Stoltenberg como Secretario General de la OTAN.  Los anuncios de los gobiernos americano y brit\u00e1nico parecen confirmar los rumores de las \u00faltimas semanas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock paragraph\">\n<p>Fuentes del gobierno estadounidense han confirmado el apoyo de Biden, informe <em>Reuters<\/em> y <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/uk-joins-us-in-backing-rutte-to-lead-nato\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>politico<\/em><\/a>.  &#8220;Rutte comprende bien la importancia de la OTAN y es un l\u00edder y conector natural&#8221;, dijo un funcionario del gobierno estadounidense. <em>Reuters<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock paragraph\">\n<p>&#8220;Rutte es una figura respetada dentro de la OTAN que ha dejado su huella en las \u00e1reas de defensa y seguridad&#8221;, dijo el jueves el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores brit\u00e1nico.  &#8220;Se asegurar\u00e1 de que la alianza se mantenga fuerte y lista para defender y disuadir&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock paragraph\">\n<p>La primera ministra danesa, Mette Frederiksen, dijo a los periodistas el jueves que rechazar\u00eda una posible nominaci\u00f3n como jefa de la OTAN.  Su nombre tambi\u00e9n circul\u00f3 como posible sucesora de Stoltenberg.  La primera ministra estonia, Kaja Kallas, y el ministro let\u00f3n, Krisjanis Karins, han expresado anteriormente inter\u00e9s en el puesto de l\u00edder de la OTAN.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock paragraph\">\n<p>En julio, Rutte anunci\u00f3 que abandonaba la pol\u00edtica holandesa.  Tambi\u00e9n indic\u00f3 que se marchar\u00e1 cuando se instale un nuevo gabinete.
