Seg\u00fan las fuentes, el autor se suicid\u00f3.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__component article__component--paragraph\">\n<p class=\"article__paragraph\">El d\u00eda escolar, el primer d\u00eda despu\u00e9s de las vacaciones de invierno, a\u00fan no hab\u00eda comenzado, dijo el sheriff.  &#8220;Afortunadamente, porque solo hab\u00eda unos pocos estudiantes en el edificio&#8221;.  Las primeras noticias sobre el tiroteo llegaron a la polic\u00eda a las 07:37 (14:37 hora belga).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__component article__component--paragraph\">\n<p class=\"article__paragraph\">Seg\u00fan el canal de noticias CNN, en 2023 se produjeron m\u00e1s de ochenta tiroteos en escuelas estadounidenses.  Se trata de la cifra m\u00e1s alta desde 2008, el primer a\u00f1o en el que CNN mantuvo sus propias cifras.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__component article__component--paragraph\">\n<p class=\"article__paragraph\">El incidente ocurri\u00f3 once d\u00edas antes de las primeras primarias republicanas para las elecciones presidenciales de 2024.
