En aquella \u00e9poca, eruditos y escritores daban conferencias en Ostende, pintores y escultores mostraban las \u00faltimas novedades. Los teatros de revistas funcionaron a pleno rendimiento, hubo eventos deportivos, desfiles de flores, fuegos artificiales y desfiles. Auguste Escoffier cre\u00f3 la ‘Sole Ostendaise’ en la cocina del ‘Palacio Real’, el hotel m\u00e1s lujoso de la costa atl\u00e1ntica.<\/p>\n

\u201cEl chef franc\u00e9s vino a formar al equipo de cocina. Luego entren\u00f3 a la brigada durante un mes entero. Eran m\u00e1s de cincuenta personas trabajando en la cocina. Acababa de llegar del Ritz de Par\u00eds donde hab\u00eda hecho lo mismo. Vino aqu\u00ed para repetir eso\u201d.<\/p>\n
