A principios de junio de 2022, circulaban en bicicleta por el desv\u00edo del camino de sirga cuando, de repente, un ciclista de 73 a\u00f1os sali\u00f3 de una carretera secundaria.  La colisi\u00f3n que sigui\u00f3 result\u00f3 fatal para Segers una semana despu\u00e9s.
