Can, que regres\u00f3 a Turqu\u00eda despu\u00e9s de quedarse un tiempo, luego fue al distrito Band\u0131rma de Bal\u0131kesir para ver el partido Band\u0131rmaspor-Kocaelispor que tuvo lugar el 9 de diciembre.  Can, que cay\u00f3 enfermo la noche del partido, fue tratado en un hospital privado cuando lleg\u00f3 a Kocaeli.  Cuando su estado empeor\u00f3, Can fue remitido a un hospital privado en el distrito de Gebze, donde le diagnosticaron malaria.  A pesar de todas las intervenciones realizadas en Gebze, Can perdi\u00f3 la vida.  Se supo que el funeral de Can, casado y padre de dos hijos, se celebrar\u00e1 despu\u00e9s de la oraci\u00f3n de la tarde en el distrito de Karam\u00fcrsel.  Se supo que Can contrajo la enfermedad en Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>En la declaraci\u00f3n escrita hecha en la cuenta de redes sociales del Kocaelispor, &#8220;Nuestro vicepresidente t\u00e9cnico, Ekrem Can, que ha estado bajo tratamiento durante un tiempo, falleci\u00f3 esta ma\u00f1ana. Mi m\u00e1s sentido p\u00e9same a nuestra comunidad y a sus aficionados.
