Baumgartlinger tuvo que tomarse un descanso debido a una lesi\u00f3n en la rodilla.  En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, Baumgartlinger ha tenido que luchar repetidamente contra las lesiones.<\/p>\n<p>El centrocampista jug\u00f3 en el TSV 1860 M\u00fanich desde 2001, seguido de temporadas en el Austria de Viena (2009 &#8211; 2011), el FSV Mainz 05 (2011 &#8211; 2016), el Bayer Leverkusen (2016 &#8211; 2022) y, m\u00e1s recientemente, en el Augsburgo.  El padre de familia trabaja actualmente como experto en \u201cSky\u201d y tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 completando su formaci\u00f3n en gesti\u00f3n deportiva.<\/p>\n<p>El veterano capit\u00e1n de los austriacos ser\u00e1 oficialmente despedido antes del partido internacional contra Alemania en el estadio Ernst Happel.
