Large parts of Ukraine are blacked out tonight, after a series of Russian attacks this afternoon. Four Ukrainian nuclear power plants, Rivne, Pivdennoukrainsk, Khmelnytskji and Zaporizhzhya, are tonight disconnected from the power grid as a result of the attacks. The power plants receive emergency power via diesel generators. In the capital Kyiv, there is a stop in the water supply as a result of the attacks, according to mayor Vitalij Klitschko. Millions of people have lost power in Ukraine after Russian rocket attacks on Wednesday. – Wants to confront Russia Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked for – and received – an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, which started at 10 p.m. Norwegian time.
