The man was first convicted in Sør-Rogaland district court in 2023 for sexual intercourse with three girls, and sexually offensive behavior with a fourth girl. The other girl is her friend. “Frøya” is not the girl’s real name. news knows the identity of her and her father. – I think it’s very stupid, he abused the role he had, says Frøya. “Frøya” says that it was very unpleasant that the man who has been convicted of raping her was at the same school and youth club she went to. The verdict from Sør-Rogaland District Court In Sør-Rogaland District Court, the man in his 20s was sentenced to four years and three months in prison for sexual intercourse with children under the age of 14 and sexual intercourse with children between the ages of 14 and 16. He was also convicted of sexually offensive behavior towards children under the age of 16, and had to pay a total of NOK 560,000 in compensation to three of the victims. There, the child and youth worker in his 20s was also sentenced to four years and three months. – Frøya is very relieved at the verdict, because she was afraid of not being believed. She had heard many cases that those who were abused and did not have “proof” were not believed, says the father. He, too, is relieved, and hopes that this will be the last round in the case. I was very tired. It was because of that incident. There was little focus at school, and she started acting out with alcohol and hashish. It was her way of dealing with what she was exposed to. Frøya’s father says that she started hanging out with people in a bad environment, and that she didn’t want to talk about what had happened. – There was a big change in me from before it happened to after it happened. I became much hotter. At a training match, Frøya unleashed on the opponents. The father didn’t show what she had been exposed to yet, but the warning lights started flashing. – I had to take her away because she attacked the others. She was always eager and good, but now she was cursed, says the father. It’s important to have someone to talk to – The tears have flowed countless times. I told her that this was not her fault and that she had done nothing wrong, says the father. Frøya believes it is important to be open about it, if you are exposed to what she herself experienced. – It is important to have someone to talk to. I have spoken to friends and the youth team in the municipality. It is important that people in the same situation understand that it is not their fault. Frøya’s father says that both the headmaster at the secondary school and the therapist in the child protection service have been worth their weight in gold. – They always showed up. We had meetings often and the headmaster arranged everything for Frøya so that she would have a good and easy time at school. Father has been an important supporter of “Frøya”.
