22 December 2023 at 09:17 Yama Wolasmal named “Media Name of the Year” Campaign has named news’s foreign correspondent Yama Wolasmal as “Media Name of the Year” for his efforts in conveying strong stories from the Middle East. Among ten candidates, it was Wolasmal who received by far the most votes in Kampanje’s selection of “Media Name of the Year”. – It was a very pleasant and motivating end to 2023, says Wolasmal Since November 2020, he has been news’s correspondent in the Middle East and conveyed the suffering from both sides of the conflict in a balanced and empathetic way, writes Kampanje. – I will stay in my job as Middle East correspondent until I have to return to Norway. So far it has been a super exciting and educational adventure that I enjoy every single day, says Wolasmal. In previous years, Andreas Selliaas, Ingeborg Senneset and Herman Flesvig won the “Media Name of the Year” award. (NTB)
