Several local media write that the mayor of the town of Kirchberg ob der Donau has been killed. Regional director Florian Hiegelsberger confirms to Kronen Zeitung that the mayor Franz Hofer has been shot. &#8211; It&#8217;s completely crazy, he says to the newspaper. Another person is also said to have been shot and killed. The perpetrator, who is said to have a hunting background, is still at large and, according to the police, is considered &#8220;very dangerous&#8221;.
