Taking lunch measures For lunch, the team occasionally bought sushi before, but now only oatmeal applies, according to the coach. – I think we actually managed to squeeze in 30 lunches up here on the Olympiatoppen for NOK 1,100, he says and continues: – To put a picture on it: A collection that we spent around NOK 75,000 on before, we now carry out for NOK 25,000 . He is absolutely clear that every penny counts, and thanks the athletes and support staff for the way they handle it. – It has been absolutely necessary in the summer and autumn. When we are in Trondheim, the people of Trondheim and the coaches live there, and the same when we are in Oslo, says Aalbu to news. The jumpers have secured one new sponsor during the autumn, but that money went to cover the deductible of NOK 50,000 which the jumpers were required to pay after the draw in July. – We have great faith that we will manage this here. Whether it takes a month, two months, half a year or a year, we’ll have to see, says Aalbu. The jumping branch has a significant debt to the Central Skiing Association. Aalbu says they need funds to become sustainable in the future. – How many millions are we talking about? Dozens? – No, not several tens, but it is an amount in the millions. That’s it.
