Photo: Vegard Woll \/ news Unmanned platform The multibillion-dollar contract concerns the construction of an unmanned platform that will stand on the Jackdaw gas field.  The field is located east of Aberdeen in the North Sea.  The contract will include engineering services, procurement, construction and installation of the complete wellhead platform, which consists of a platform deck and a steel undercarriage, as well as associated unloading and offshore connection and preparation.  Fabrication of the wellhead platform will take place at Aker Solutions&#8217; shipyard in Verdal, and at most the project will employ over 300 people.
