A foreign motorcycle rider lost his life today after a collision with a car in the Sl\u00f8verfjord tunnel on the E10 in Hadsel municipality. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, the police in Nordland say. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration states that it will take time before the tunnel opens. They recommend motorists who are on the E10 in the area to stop and wait at a suitable place. The tunnel was quickly closed as a result of the accident and emergency services and the accident team from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration have been sent to the scene. The police are working on notifying next of kin. The tour group and those involved in the accident are being taken care of by the local crisis team. The police carry out the necessary investigations at the scene. The sequence of events is still unclear. The tunnel will be closed for several hours.
