The Norwegian Directorate of Water Resources and Energy (NVE) has assessed a total of 26 power projects, of which 25 are wind power projects and one hydropower project. But only a few of these can be built due to limited capacity in the power grid in Finnmark. The background to the case is the government’s aim to electrify Melk\u00f8ya, and NVE found that it was best to undertake a joint review of the projects. Now they have decided which of the projects will be prioritized and which will be shelved. Eleven wind power projects and a hydropower project in Alta are going ahead. Seven of these wind power projects are in Lebesby municipality. These projects will go on to a consultation round: Nordkyn wind power plant, in Lebesby and Gamvik municipalities (Statkraft) Bj\u00f8rnviktuva wind power plant, in Lebesby and Gamvik municipalities (Fortum Nordkraft Vind DA) Oksefjorden wind power plant, in Lebesby and Gamvik municipalities (H2 Carrier) Skj\u00f8tningsberg wind power plant, in Lebesby municipality (Aneo) Svartnakken wind farm, in Lebesby municipality (Troms Kraft and Green Nordic AS) Kj\u00f8llefjord wind farm, in Lebesby municipality (Statkraft) Laksefjorden wind farm, in Lebesby municipality (Fred.
