Photo: Viktoria Hellem-Hansen \/ news Has won the Finnmarksl\u00f8pet several times Thomas W\u00e6rner has won the Finnmarksl\u00f8pet 1200 kilometers three times, in 2013, 2019 and 2022. In 2019 he also won the Femundl\u00f8pet&#8217;s longest distance, 600 kilometers.  He was the first in 24 years to win both Finnmarksl\u00f8pet&#8217;s and Femundl\u00f8pet&#8217;s longest distances in the same year.  He repeated that in 2022. This is what it looks like on the Finnmarksvidda for the dog walkers.  Won the world&#8217;s longest dog race In 2020, he won the world&#8217;s longest dog race, the Iditarod in Alaska.  He is the third Norwegian to win the Iditarod.  W\u00e6rner says he is often asked about, among other things, what is the motivation to run mile after mile, what the dogs eat, what a driving plan is and what mandatory rest is.
