The family informs NTB.  Folkvord died on Friday afternoon.  He was traveling in Stockholm in connection with a book project about Kurdistan and Palestine.  Folkvord was born in Levanger in Tr\u00f8ndelag.  He has been politically active since the 60s, and from 1990 to 1997 he was deputy leader of the Workers&#8217; Communist Party (AKP).  In 1999, he became a city council member in Oslo for the R\u00f8d Valgallianse, which later joined the R\u00f8dt party.  Marie Sneve Martinussen thanks Folkvord for everything he has done. He committed himself against corruption and abuse of power.  He became strongly involved in the Kurds&#8217; cause.  He committed himself to Palestine.  She thanks Folkvord for everything he has done.  &#8211; Erling was involved in R\u00f8dt, and even though he did not always agree with the choices R\u00f8dt made, he participated actively and has done an important job that has been important both for R\u00f8dt, Oslo and Norway.  On behalf of the entire Red movement, I would like to thank Erling for that.  The R\u00f8dt politician is the only one who has been a parliamentary representative for the R\u00f8d Valgallianse.  He was that from 1993 to 1997. He was particularly well-known in Oslo for his fight against corruption and abuse of power.
