Mustafa is known from the award-winning TV series “Unwanted”. In the series, we follow his fight against the Immigration Appeals Board, where he fights for the right to stay in Norway after 14 years in the country. Mustafa Hasan immigrated to Norway with his family when he was six years old in 2008. The Immigration Appeals Board decided in 2019 that he should be deported from Norway because his mother provided incorrect information about their nationality when the family came to the country. Mustafa’s case has involved many. He has made an impression on stars such as Martin \u00d8degaard and Karpe. Joik + rap = true? The rapper is at the festival Riddu Ri\u0111\u0111u to hold a concert with Elle M\u00e1ij\u00e1 Klefstad B\u00e6r. The two combine two music genres that are rarely heard in teams, namely rap and yoik. – She is a more experienced musician than me, but we go so insanely well together, and I learn a lot from her. In two days together, they both wrote, produced and recorded two songs. An unlikely collaboration It is not at all obvious that Mustafa and Elle M\u00e1ij\u00e1 should collaborate. I had also heard Elle M\u00e1ij\u00e1 joike during a concert where she was a guitarist and vocalist. I do not know why, but I got the idea that these two can be great in teams. There are not two types of music you think you hear in teams, yoik and rap. The two also have vastly different backgrounds. He is from Drammen, she from Karasjok. According to Elle M\u00e1ij\u00e1, the chemistry between them is the key to them being able to create good music in teams. The two songs they have made together are called “Stronger Together” and “Same Language”. The songs had their world premiere at the festival, but have not been released. Residence permit provided opportunities – I am so sick grateful. Grateful for Elle M\u00e1ij\u00e1, who endures with me and grateful that I got to stay in Norway. It gave me the opportunity to invest in music and to have a good life here. Here Mustafa gets the message that he can stay in Norway. Elle M\u00e1ij\u00e1 is also grateful for the opportunity to be on stage with Riddu Ri\u0111\u0111u. – Even though I am an experienced musician, it is only recently that I have had the confidence to sing and joike.
