Yes. The FRP in Karm\u00f8y has had talks with both the local Karm\u00f8ylista, H\u00f8yre, INP, MDG and R\u00f8dt. Now they haven’t spoken to the Right for a while. The Conservative Party, on the other hand, has formed a platform with KrF, Venstre and the Center Party. Several parties cause trouble In other words, there are many parties to deal with on Karm\u00f8y. And that is precisely what is pointed out as the reason why it has not yet been clarified who will manage the municipality in Rogaland for the next four years. – It’s no wonder they are struggling to come up with something on Karm\u00f8y. The more parties in the picture, the more difficult it is to reach an agreement, he says. Incumbent mayor Jarle Nilsen agrees with the election researcher. Nilsen has held the office of mayor in Karm\u00f8y for eight years, but the party received only 15.2 percent of the vote during this year’s election. A sharp decline from the previous election. – One of the challenges is that the largest party in the municipality has less than 20 per cent of the vote. In recent days, the party has been free from meetings. – Do you still imagine that you can become mayor of Karm\u00f8y for another term? – Yes, that is one of the scenarios. But there are more, says Jarle Nilsen. He is concerned about the parties that will govern the municipality, has a good basis for cooperation. – But everything is still open, says Nilsen. Karm\u00f8y is the only municipality in Rogaland that has not elected a mayor after the election on 11 September.
