The unanimous verdict from H\u00e5logaland Court of Appeal is 46 pages. A number of criminal offenses are mentioned for a period of more than 30 years. The man has been sentenced to nine and a half years in prison for repeated rapes, aggravated assault and eight violations of the restraining order. In addition, he has exposed grandchildren and reckless behavior. He must also pay 400,000 kroner in compensation to the aggrieved. It was the newspaper Fremover that first mentioned the verdict. Defender Egil Malm tells news that the Court of Appeal’s judgment has been appealed to the Supreme Court, and is thus not final. The defender has no further comments. In one case, the woman is said to have refused to have sexual intercourse with the man, to which he is said to have responded by locking her out on the veranda during the winter. Hundreds of rapes The court finds it difficult to determine how many cases of rape have occurred over the years, but the court believes that there are several hundred cases. It appears from the verdict that the woman is severely traumatized after the abuse that has been going on for so many years. The man has also been sentenced to a ban on contact with his ex-wife indefinitely.
