It is infinitely tragic.  This is what National Police Chief Anders Thornberg says in a press release.  Mats L\u00f6fving (61) has been investigated in connection with a personnel matter.  He is said to have had a relationship with a colleague, who is also said to have reported him for mistreatment, according to SVT.  In an investigative report presented on Wednesday, it was established that L\u00f6fving employed Linda Staaf as the country&#8217;s intelligence chief while the two were in a relationship.  The report asks the national police chief to consider firing L\u00f6fving, writes SVT.  It was around 7pm that the police were notified of an injured person through an SOS call.  L\u00f6fving was found dead in his home in Norrk\u00f6ping.  The police state that an investigation is underway to clarify what happened.  &#8211; We do not know what has happened and cannot say that crimes have not been committed.  Therefore, we have opened a preliminary investigation into murder.
