During his inauguration in Congress, he accused Bolsonaro of “genocide” during the corona pandemic. And he has several times used the word “fascist” about the departed president. Bolsonaro made fun of Lula when he was in prison. Now Lula is president, and his predecessor is in the US and fears a prison sentence. The order for an investigation is probably the most important reason why Jair Bolsonaro has applied for an extended stay in the USA. So maybe there are other things than swimming pools and water slides that keep Bolsonaro in Florida.
