This week, photos and videos of a man and a Thai woman having sex on the street in Pattaya have gone viral. This is how – via the newspaper – the man in the photos claims he found out about the incident. The Norwegian says he was so drunk that he hardly remembers what happened, Thai media write. It was a surveillance camera that caught them on film. They should not have cared about passing traffic. At one point, the Norwegian holiday tourist is said to have waved to a man who was passing by. Unknown woman Earlier this week, they were wanted in the Thai media with information about how they looked and what clothes they were wearing. On Wednesday, the Norwegian was arrested by the police. The man was released after he paid a fine of 5,000 baht, approximately NOK 1,400. The police have so far not been able to track down the woman in the video, but a police chief tells Thai media that she must also make amends. They have asked the Norwegian if he has any information about the woman, but he is said to have replied that he does not know her name or who she is. “Sin city” They must have gone in two different directions when the act finished after around half an hour. This is said to have happened near a busy street intersection on Monday around 4 o’clock. A witness Thai media have spoken to calls the man a “disgusting foreigner”. He says that the Norwegian appeared to be drunk. – The man gave something to the woman. I think it was money. I’m sick of nasty foreigners treating my city like a trash can. news has been in contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is investigating the matter. Pattaya is often referred to as “Sin City”, i.e. the city of sin, and is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Thailand. The city is located in the east of the country, and is a well-known holiday destination for Norwegians. In recent years, the authorities in the city have tried to clean up the streets, in order to change the reputation of Pattaya.
