With the high electricity prices we have had in the past year, the government believes it is right to have reduced the electricity tax in the period January, February and March 2023, says Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum (Sp) in a press release. The Storting adopted the low “winter rate” in 2023 yesterday. The general rate in the electricity tax will be reduced from 15.41 \u00f8re per kWh to 9.16 \u00f8re per kWh with effect from the turn of the year until the end of March 2023.
