– One person has been declared dead at the scene. Two others are conscious, but their state of health is otherwise unclear, the police told news on Monday afternoon. The emergency services reported the accident around half past two. There were long queues in both directions and many people stood for several hours before the traffic was diverted. The biggest challenge was for northbound traffic. At 6.50 p.m., the Swedish Road Traffic Center reports that the road has been cleared and opened to traffic in both directions. Two people were trapped in one car. They were taken to hospital in Arendal. One of them was flown on to Ullev\u00e5l. On Monday evening, the police informed that the cause of the accident is currently unknown. The police have interviewed witnesses and carried out technical investigations at the scene of the accident. The traffic accident happened on the E18 at Lundeslettene in Tvedestrand.
