– This year it is perhaps even more important than before, what Rett Fram experiences is doing. That’s what Mads Hansen says to news. As he himself explains: – Videos of people who for various reasons are perceived as provocative. But this year he wanted to combine it with something more constructive. Then the idea of \u200b\u200ba Spleis to generate income for Rett Fram experiences in Drammen came up. – There are a lot of good causes, just to say the least. It was passed after a few hours. The target was then adjusted up to half a million. That was passed after one day. “We are about to save Christmas for a lot of people!”, Hansen wrote then. Now the marker is moved to NOK 1 million. – I was sure that 500,000 would last through December. I know how tight many people are now, considering increased electricity prices and one thing with the other. That so many still have money to give, to those who need it even more, is simply touching, says Hansen. – There are no words for how much it means In Drammen, the general manager of Rett Fram experiences, Ronny Johnsen, can do nothing but gape. They will organize 22 Christmas Eves before Christmas Eve itself. And is also behind a large distribution of gifts on 22 December. – We do this for children and young people, who for one reason or another are kept out of the social community. And especially when Christmas comes. There are so many people who are in pain in these times, many more than before, says Johnsen and adds: – Families come here to get a break, peace and the feeling of being taken care of. The proportion of children growing up in low-income families in Norway is still a major problem, and in few cities is it worse than in Drammen. Here there is a decorated Christmas tree, there are Christmas pillows on the sofa, candles, white tablecloths and some Christmas packages. – Just logistics with tablecloths is a bit of extra work. Here in this room there are six white tablecloths that must be changed every day. When it dawns on you as a man that tablecloths are also logistics, it becomes a bit difficult, Johnsen chuckles. The organization works throughout the year to collect funds from, among other things, the business world and private individuals. – We have a fantastically good helper in Mads Hansen, who has helped us for many years. What he has started this year, with the joy of giving that is out there among people, there are no words for how much it means, says Johnsen. Mads Hansen will work as a volunteer himself It is not the first time that Hansen provides ringing coins in the register for Rett Fram experiences. In 2020, Hansen started a so-called “Unfollow charity” after a conflict with two other influencers. It resulted in over NOK 100,000 in collected funds. Ronny Johnsen can also say that the VGTV presenter himself will participate as a volunteer at one of the Christmas dinners organized during the month. – I myself remember how much I looked forward to Christmas as a child. And when Mads Hansen comes up with a Christmas calendar that within a couple of hours brings in a hundred thousand kroner, we realize that now we can get a lot more done, says Ronny Johnsen. For Rett Fram experiences, there are still many Christmas celebrations before they can take Christmas off themselves. Among other things, 41 drivers are ready to deliver Christmas presents to over 200 families on 22 December. The monetary gift from Hansen’s followers comes in handy, to an organization that has previously had to say no when people have asked for help. – First of all, we have to say thank you. But secondly, there are a lot of obligations with such an amount. We will make sure that we have a Christmas that we have never been able to have before.
