The defense received an error message at 10.40 and the emergency services were immediately notified.  &#8211; The civilians in the vicinity were evacuated.  The police arrived quickly and we set up a crisis team, says Eivind Byre, communications manager at the Air Force.  &#8211; There is a very small probability of detonation.  The air station is located in the municipality of Moss and is the headquarters of the Air Force&#8217;s management.  A safety zone of one kilometer was established.  The E6, which runs right past the airport, was completely closed for a short period.  Sea target missile The missile that received an error message is a Penguin missile.  It is an older type of missile that is used against targets at sea.  The Norwegian Defense Forces no longer use the missile.  The defense was notified of the error message by those who work with the testing and maintenance of missiles inside the air station.  Kongsberg Defense is responsible for that job. After we took measures, there was no danger to life, says Colonel Thomas Orud Harlem, commander of the 134th Air Wing.  Harlem is the manager of Rygge air station and Gardermoen air station.  He reassures the civilians traveling in the area.  &#8211; We were able to implement the necessary measures quickly.  No one in the neighborhood should be concerned about any incidents here.  There was very little chance of anything going wrong.  Has dismantled the missile Just before 1 p.m., the Air Force announced that the situation at the air station has been clarified.
