This is revealed in a proposal that the three clubs have submitted for consideration by the Confederation in 2023. &#8211; The play-offs gave us more matches at a somewhat higher level, but there was a lack of support around the matches, increased sporting load at a time when we want to play in Europe, and it became a demanding unpredictability, says chairman P\u00e5l H. Thorsen of Brann Kvinner to BA , who mentioned the case first.  The three clubs propose removing the play-offs in the Topperserien, increasing the number of teams and looking at the possibilities of a Scandinavian tournament for the top teams in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.  The setup has previously been tried on the men&#8217;s side with the Royal League.  It only lasted between 2004 and 2007. &#8211; The Royal League has become a loaded term, but Brann&#8217;s men had both a sporting and financial gain from it.  I know that the Scandinavian confederations have wanted to dust off the idea, but Norway is holding on, says Thorsen.
