The Russian security services (FSB) announced on Monday the arrest of a German woman discovered carrying a bomb in her backpack and an accomplice in Piatigorsk, in the Caucasus region. The two are accused of plotting an explosive attack against police, allegedly on orders from Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The German national, who remains unnamed and was born in 1969, was apprehended following the discovery of an improvised explosive device (IED) intended for a “planned attack.” According to the FSB, the device was meant to be detonated near a police facility in Piatigorsk.
