Like millions of Mexicans, President Claudia Sheinbaum took a few days off during the holiday period on the occasion of Holy Week, an annual celebration of the Catholic religion, which this year began on March 30.<\/p>\n

Sheinbaum’s Announcement for Holy Week<\/h2>\n

On March 30, during her address at ‘La Ma\u00f1anera del Pueblo,’ Sheinbaum announced a suspension of her activities from Thursday, April 2 to Sunday, April 5. While these are not officially designated rest days, she emphasized their significance for the populace.<\/p>\n

Plans for Easter 2026<\/h2>\n

In a video shared with the public, Sheinbaum outlined her plans for her Easter holiday. She emphasized that her four days of restful retreat would take place in Mexico City, focusing on family-oriented activities.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, during Holy Week, I decided with Jes\u00fas, my husband, that we were going to stay here in Mexico City. I’m going to take the opportunity to go visit his house, my grandson, Pablo, and my son Rodrigo,\u201d she conveyed.<\/p>\n

Balancing Work and Leisure<\/h3>\n

Although Sheinbaum plans to spend quality time with her loved ones, she will still engage in some work-related tasks. \u201cI’m going to take the opportunity to do some planning for the next few weeks, such as the mornings for the entire month of April,\u201d she noted, while underlining the importance of rest during this short holiday.<\/p>\n

A Message to the Public<\/h2>\n

In her publication, the president extended best wishes to the public for a joyful holiday season. She encouraged everyone to seize this opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends. \u201cMuch love to the family, much love to everyone and have a good holiday,\u201d she concluded, highlighting the importance of familial connections during this time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
