## European Mobility Opportunities for Thau Basin Youth<\/p>\n
Even with ongoing discussions about its relevance, Europe has never felt more accessible to its young citizens. This sentiment is echoed by young adults like Maria, Alyson, Sabri, Yoni, Noam, Loubna, and Valentine, aged 18 to 21, who recently traveled by train to explore Europe as part of the Discover EU Erasmus + scheme. Their journey has ignited enthusiasm for further opportunities that allow young people to discover the continent.<\/p>\n
## Upcoming Trips in 2026<\/p>\n
Three additional trips are already slated for 2026, aimed at enriching the experiences of young adults from the Thau Basin. This initiative will support around twenty individuals, giving them an opportunity to explore various European Union countries at no personal expense. Participants will venture to places they’ve never visited and immerse themselves in new cultures, essentially encouraging them to \u201cget out of their comfort zone,\u201d as emphasized by Armand Cosseron, co-founder of the association \u201cWhat will you do later?\u201d based in Frontignan.<\/p>\n
The first trip is scheduled to depart on Thursday, April 16, with two more excursions planned for June and October. Each of these excursions will span 8 to 10 days, offering ample time for exploration and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n
## Fully Funded by Erasmus+<\/p>\n
One of the most significant advantages of this program is that all expenses are fully covered under the Erasmus + initiative. Participants will have their travel, accommodation, meals, and activities funded by the program. This unprecedented support underscores Europe\u2019s commitment to youth development. As Cosseron notes, \u201cit\u2019s quite unprecedented\u201d for young people to embark on such journeys without the financial burden typically associated with travel.<\/p>\n
For many of these young individuals, this will be their first experience outside their local area of H\u00e9rault. Cosseron highlights his organization’s dedication to promoting alternative success stories and ensuring that young people from working-class neighborhoods, rural areas, or with disabilities also have a voice and opportunities for exploration.<\/p>\n
## How to Get Involved<\/p>\n
For those interested in learning more or participating in upcoming trips, the Erasmus office operates from Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at quai du Caramus, opposite LEPAP Maurice-Clavel. Furthermore, an opportunity to engage with the community will occur during the next Horizons Mobilit\u00e9s meeting on Monday, April 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the same location.<\/p>\n
By encouraging young people to explore and engage with different cultures, the Thau Basin is actively investing in a generation of informed and confident global citizens. These travel opportunities, supported by the European mobility program, are not just about travel; they represent a broader mission to cultivate understanding and cooperation among Europe’s youth.<\/p>\n
