And I have already been able to try it: I was alone with the Motorola Razr Fold, and I think it is a solid, versatile, and high-quality bet. It is coming to cause a lot of war, and I am convinced of this.

Design and Display

The first thing I appreciated when holding it in my hand is that Motorola has managed to slim down the thickness of the phone, making it feel almost “normal” once folded. The two unfolded parts reach an impressive 4.55 mm. While the thickness increases around the camera areas, this refinement contributes to an overall sleek design.

The external screen measures 6.6 inches, while the internal display is an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. The touch response is excellent, and the brightness levels are extremely high, ensuring visibility in various conditions.

Technical Specifications

Screen

6.6 inch external, 8.1 inch internal 2K LTPO, Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3

Processor

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

RAM

16 GB

Storage

512 GB

Cameras

50 MP main, 50 MP telephoto, 50 MP ultra wide

Battery

6,000 mAh with 80W TurboPower Charging

Price

From 1,999 euros

Ergonomics and User Experience

The Motorola Razr Fold feels great in the hand, resembling a non-foldable phone. This is crucial, as the two wings of the phone are joined without gaps, providing a seamless appearance. The hinge allows for fluid unfolding and can hold various angles, enhancing usability.

Performance

In terms of power, the device is packed with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and ample storage. While my testing did not dive deeply into performance, I suspect it will handle multitasking and gaming effortlessly.

Camera Capabilities

The camera department often presents challenges for foldables, but Motorola has made commendable choices. The triple rear camera system features a 50 MP main sensor that performs well under various lighting conditions, displaying accurate colors and effective HDR.

The telephoto lens impressively offers a 100x zoom capability, enhanced by AI reconstruction. While it might not produce award-winning shots, it allows for reasonable quality at a distance.

Software and Support

The Motorola Razr Fold runs a customizable version of Android 16, taking cues from Pixel-like interfaces. Users can expect seven years of Android and security updates, a rarity that speaks to the brand’s commitment to longevity.

Final Thoughts

Motorola has effectively transitioned from the successful Flip format to an equally impressive Fold device. The Razr Fold balances design, performance, and functionality, catering to both general users and business travelers alike. Priced starting at 1,999 euros, it represents a significant investment, but the lack of compromises makes it a worthy contender in the foldable smartphone arena.

General News – 2

After making what are, for me, the best Flip-type foldables, Motorola has just embarked on the adventure of its remaining format: the Fold.
